Social Security, arguably the most popular social program in United States history, began way back in 1935 as a signature part of Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal. It was the end result of years of competing ideas about what a program of social insurance would look like for the United States – a country that had rapidly changed in the modern industrial era.

The idea was that Social Security would address the permanent problem of economic security for the elderly by creating a work-related, contributory system. Workers would provide for their own future benefits through taxes paid while employed. According to the Social Security Administration, it was an “alternative both to reliance on welfare and to radical changes in our capitalist system. In the context of its time, it can be seen as a moderately conservative, yet activist, response to the challenges of the Depression.”

Over the last thirty years, in anticipation of the needs of the Baby Boomer generation (hello, Daddies!), Social Security has taken in much more than it has paid out. Now that’s changing as the Boom generation retires.

How do you feel about Social Security? Do you think it’s in trouble, like some conservatives would have you believe, or do you think it’s in fine shape, as progressives usually point out? Hunters, do you worry there will be no benefits for you when you get older?

Most politicians agree that some changes have to be made to the program for it to last. Former President Bush wanted to invest Social Security money in the stock market, as opposed to its current...

For the past several years, I'd hear about this party in NYC called BLOWOFF. Friends who had gone would tell me I would have love it - that it's a big dance party filled with my type of guys (i.e lots of hot daddies and hunters). And every year I'd put it off, only to regret it when I would see pictures from the event and kick myself for missing out on all the sexy, beary, daddylicious fun. From what I've seen and heard, it seems to be somewhere between dancing at a bar with friends and a full blown circuit party. Which to me sounds perfect.

Well come this Friday, I'll be blowing off with the rest and best of them at Highline Ballroom, and the great news is that you can too! We're giving away a pair of BLOWOFF NYC tickets to one lucky Daddyhunt member. Just let us know in the comments: "How do you usually blow off steam?" The winner will be notified this Friday via their Daddyhunt inbox.

Seems only fitting that we talk dirty about dead president's Lincoln and Washington on the day America's chosen to remember them. So let's keep it simple, who'd you rather: Abe Lincoln or George Washington. You can factor in any kind of extraneous info you like into your decision making, just be sure to tell us in the comments section below.

And while we're at it, and because choosing between these two is fairly limiting, if you had your choice between presidents 1-44 who'd you go for?

Happy President's Day!

We don't really talk too much about porn on here, but I think it's time we did. Now I could just tell you which sites I like (and I will) but it's always more fun when you swap sites with a friend and find out where they get their goodies from. New discovers are always welcome ones, so be sure to share in the comments below.

While the amateur sites like and can be lots of fun (and are free), sometimes you need a little more than just two bodies bumping it. Personally, I'm a plot guy. I need story and a set up, as well as some disrobing of some kind. Sometimes my favorite part is watching them rip each others clothes off and of course the eventual surprise reveal of what's underneath. Which is why I'm a huge fan of Men At Play. Not only do they find the hottest guys, but the whole suit thing, just does it for me. Like a lot. And usually one of the guys leaves at least part of their suit on for the entire vid. Oof. This site tends to produce my favorite porns and comes up with some incredibly hot scenarios (check out the one with the wedding). It probably helps that a lot of their men are rough daddy hunks.

I'm also a big Randy Blue fan. They do a decent job with their plot driven stories every now and then, but it's more their models that keep me coming back (specifically...

Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or National Singles Awareness Day, I think we can all agree that Cupid can be a fickle little bitch (guess which day I'm celebrating). I keed, I keed. Actually, I love Valentine's Day. Say what you will about it being a Hallmark created holiday, but we move so fast these days that maybe we need a day to stop and appreciate how incredibly special and rare finding love can be.

For all us lonely hearts out there, a day like this makes it especially easy to be bitter. It's almost to be expected from us. But maybe this year, we should flip the switch and love the heck out of this day. Whether we want to "love" up on a fuck buddy for an hour or shower our friends and family with platonic affection, there are a million different ways we can celebrate this day and not feel like a shmuck. So let's do that.

Here's to you Cupid! Whether we've been hit, hurt, or still awaiting your arrow, we're thankful you exist.

Oh and if Cupid looks anything like the above picture, he can shoot me with his bow anytime.

Being a dog person myself, there's nothing sexier than a man who loves his dog. Hopefully, you're all in agreement about this and you'll be as delighted as I am to discover this cute little tumblr page devoted to just that. Men and Their Dogs features a variety of men folk playing with their cute pooches and looking damn sexy while doing so.

Looks like they take submissions, so be sure to alert your friends at Daddyhunt if you get featured on there. In the meantime, let us know which photos are your faves in the comments below.

I never thought I'd be so turned on by an egg, but here I am devoting an entire post to the sexual powers of one. My friend recently introduced me to the Tenga Egg, a fun masturbation toy made in Japan, and I've been having fun with them ever since. It seems kind of odd that you can order these fun little 6 packs from or, but odder yet is that sticking your dick in a tiny, malleable egg is actually really fun. Think of it as a disposable fleshlight (though you can use them multilple times with proper cleaning), that's a bit more portable and even more discreet. They come in a variety of textures (be sure to try them all!) and come with just the right amount of lube for one time use. It's a great one size fits all product and at $35 for a 6-pack it could be a cute little Valentine's gift for yourself or your significant other.

Check out the fun little video below to learn more about them. And of course, if you've used or plan to use, let's us know what you think in the comments below.

Has this ever happened to you? You meet a guy, go on a date or two, and as soon people get wind of it they can't wait to offer up any kind of dirt, deets and/or stories about the man you just met less than 5 metaphorical minutes ago. Effectively clouding your mind for the remainder of your dates. We all know it's a small gay world out there, but just once it'd be nice to be given the chance to form my own opinions about my date before the peanut gallery chimes in. It's getting to the point, where I sometimes feel the need to keep up Bond-esque levels of secrecy about the guys I date, even amongst friends.

Friends, for the most part, are generally looking out for your best interest, but the acquaintances and mutual friends, they're the ones who masquerade as being helpful and end up doing more harm than good. Now I don't mean to say that all gay men are catty bitches, because they're not, it's just that we live in an age where everyone feel entitled to give their own running commentary on life and most of the time it's unwarranted and unwelcome.

I've actually been wondering as of late if a person's dating past is even worth knowing. Wherever that person is when they meet you, that is where your story, be it short, epic, or in between, should begin. Or is it better to study their history and learn how they came to be so that you can identify red flags that we may ultimately ignore?

I long for a day when the mystery of the person I'm dating is mine, and mine alone, to find out. We're so quick to google and facebook stalk that we know more before the...

This video's been making the rounds since last night, but it's worth a share. Zach Wahls, the son of lesbian mothers, stood up in front of the Iowa House of Representatives in support of gay marriage as Iowans from both sides of the debate argued for and against repealing its 2009 legalization. The 19-year-old University of Iowa engineering student spoke eloquently about what makes a family and went on to argue that he was raised by two lesbians, and "is doing pretty well." At a time when we can't go a day without hearing stories of hate, it's nice to be reminded of all those in favor of love. Especially the young ones, who bring with them the tides of change.

Unfortunately, the House passed Joint Resolution 6, which would ban not only all same-sex unions, but domestic partnerships and domestic partnerships in the state, but it's hard to believe that even the most radical conservatives can turn a deaf ear to Wahls masterful speech. The good news is, Majority Leader Mike Gronstal has vowed to block any such amendment from getting a vote in the Senate, where Democrats hold a majority.
